First week!

Ok you lovely lot, I am very pleased to be able to share my first pages from my organiser with you!

I'm not entirely sure how happy I am with this page but love the effect of the cute characters in the tape. Both stickers and tape were from paperchase.

I've also decorated a double spread for this week. Again I'm not too sure on this, maybe it's beginners nerves? We're off to  Disneyland  Paris to see in the New Year tomorrow, so I've used a combination of Paris tape, which I received for Christmas  and the Disney tapes which I already had.

I decorated using Mickey stickers which came from Amazon, and felt the little travelling themed post-it's made a cute addition to the page as we're technically travelling this week.

Happy Christmas!

Morning my beauties! I hope you've all been thoroughly spoilt and had a wonderful and restful Christmas! It's been a crazy few weeks so I'm enjoying some down time to enjoy and share my favourite Christmas present!

Ta da! I was super excited to unwrap this beauty on Christmas Day! Mr S was a bit cheeky and kept it back until last so I was really surprised!

It's really beautiful, A5 with a tweed cover and I'm itching to get going so I can share all of it's pretty pages with you.

There's lots of space on each page so I can decorate and include all of my important information too. Mr S has also bought me lots of supplies so I can keep my pages pretty which I'll share with you a bit later... In the meantime, I'm off to play'

Domino Disappointment

Last week I won a Domino Filofax for the bargain price of £6 on eBay. It was gorgeous! Even better it was red, my favourite colour! I could scarcely contain my excitement when it had been shipped.

So you can imagine my disappointment when the package arrived in one of those Royal Mail baggies in a mess. Even worse when the package turned out to be empty!

Naturally paperwork has been filled in to try and recover my missing item, I'm vaguely hopeful that it'll turn up in some sort of lost property however it looks like someone opened the parcel. I'd hate to think, especially given the time of year, that someone has stolen it but it's certainly put me off using eBay again any time soon.

Fingers crossed I'll have some good news to share with you really soon, but in the meantime there are only 10 more sleeps until I can start filofaxing with you beautiful people instead of just showing you my supplies.

Lamy Love

So after being treated last week to a beautiful new Lamy pen it seems I am well and truly in love! I treated myself to another pen which came with a pouch, box of cartridges and an ink eraser. I bought from Webster's Pen Shop via Amazon and it came to less than buying the safari on it's own in store! I'm not one to grumble as these will certainly make a permanent and much loved addition to my collection!

I also bought a bottle of ink and a convertot for this little beauty as I'm not a huge fan of disposable ink cartridges... I'm never even sure if they can be recycled? I ordered some turquoise ink for my first Lamy as well but I'm waiting for a replacement as unfortunately the first attempt resulted in my receiving the box only. Strange.

Paperchase Scrummies

Paperchase have got some delicious morsels available for stationery delectation at the moment, I almost wish I could just move in there! Today's haul included two spectacular fluffy pens which have brussell sprouts on top! One is wearing a santa hat and one is wearing reindeer antlers.

I couldn't resist this woodland creature themed writing set for when I put pen to paper to write to Mr S. The paper is a little bit thin but when it's this pretty I really don't mind.

These too were just too cute to resist. Mr S and I have a bit of a running joke about unicorns after he won one for me at the arcades in the summer. He's based on the one for minions 2 and is lovingly called 'Steve'.

I continued with the rabbit theme that is beginning to build up in my collection with this little hole punch. He punches a single hole, although is clearly in need of a name as I can't just call it hole punch now can I?

eBay

I'm not normally one to buy from eBay, and probably just as well otherwise I would own about 30 filofaxes of varying sizes by now (I kid you not!) but this little bundle seemed sweet as apparently the seller was having a craft room clear out.

Some of the stickers are quite big so I think I'll be using them for scrapbooking rather than filofax as even for an A5 I think they're too big. As well as stickers I got these mouse shaped embellishments. I'm going to stick some to paperclips to use in my organiser when it arrives but I'm not too sure about the rest as there's a lot there. I'm sure I'll be able to put them to good use though.

There was also about 20 rolls of tape in this bundle, some of it used although not much. There was such a wonderful variety of tapes. The line up included Mickey Mouse, Aristocats, Snoopy and Hello Kitty, There's certainly plenty there to keep my busy for a little while.

Cheeky Win

One of my stationery crushes lately has been fineliners, and these finally arrived today. I ordered them back with the larger box I received not so long ago. They're pastel coloured and so sweet. As an added bonus, I ordered one and they appear to have sent two by mistake!

I haven't had an opportunity to try them yet but I'm looking forward to getting the opportunity to try them out. Do you think I can be forgiven for breaking into them before Christmas? I'm not sure I can resist...

Smiths Goodies

W H Smiths have got 3 for 2 on their stationery essentials at the moment, and although I question how precisely some items can be classed as essential and some are not, I am not going to complain.

So of course, I could not resist the penguin correction tape. He's lovely and especially after the John Lewis advert I do love all things penguin! I adore these cupcake post-its too, they're quite big and fantastically bright! As they were 3 for 2 I decided to go for the pink bunny correction tape too as it's rather cute and will look awesome in my pencil case!

Flags!

Today brought more flags, although these are great for studying as well as my planner. I couldn't resist the cat in a box notes either so ordered another set and this time received the little ginger cat. Isn't he adorable?

The finger flags are designed to look like fingers, hence the name and I love their silly faces. This makes them perfect for studying as I know turning to a page and seeing these would not and could not fail to make me smile.

I quite like the one on the left hand corner, he just looks like he's up to no good doesn't he? That's mischief in a post-it right there!

Stationery Friday

Mr S has outdone himself this stationery Friday and I'm feeling like a very lucky and spoilt little starlet right now. We'd been reminiscing about fountain pens when he picked me up so he decided to treat me to something special. Normally I'm a devout Parker pen sort of gal, but after this I might just be a Lamy convert!

The packaging is lovely and I don't think I'll be getting rid of the bag anytime soon. It felt a little bit like Christmas getting it out of the bag!

See how pretty it is? I loved the fact that it was see through as it's just something a little bit different to my Parker collection.

It truly is a beautiful pen, I'm certainly in love. I picked some turquoise ink as it has a see through barrel and have already requested a second to fill with pink ink for Christmas. This pen writes like an absolute dream!

I can tell already that my Parker pens are going to get jealous so I feel a post comparing the two and subsequent penmanship coming up in the next few weeks.

White Strawberry

White Strawberry, might just be my new favourite shop, I've even kept their business card for my filofax as I was so impressed with both their products and the service I received from them. Not only did my order arrive really quickly, but they included some complementary stickers. I'm so eager to use these little beauties, they've definitely been my favourite so far.

This is the haul I got from their lovely store. It was a real challenge to limit my choices down even to these. I was overwhelmed with the variety available, I felt a bit like a child in a sweet shop.

Llama memo pads were a must as they've got plenty of room for notes whilst still being super sweet. Plus I liked the fact that the white one looks like a sheep!

Similarly, I loved the bunnies. Each one has a cute little patterned jump suit on. My favourite is the rainbow bunny I think. They're so cute its going to be a challenge to use these as at the moment I really just want to hoard them and keep them forever.

As you know I've been loving a bit of a cat option lately and I just adored this little kawaii cat with his sticky paws to put all over my planner and any other place I can find.

I picked a couple of diary stickers with holes too. I think they might be too small to go over punched holes but will be great for highlighting important dates such as birthdays and anniversaries. I opted for three designs: donuts, animals and cats.

These are the stickers I got free with my order, they're all funny little men and quite sweet.

These are cute little memo stickers to write on. I think I'll be using these for important dates and themed pages. Again though, these are so sweet I don't know how I'll bear to use them as I want to just keep them forever, but where would be the fun in that?

Insomnia Strikes Again!

Well, I've come to the conclusion that two things need to happen and fast: firstly, I need to start sleeping at night instead of perusing Amazon and secondly, I need Christmas to hurry up and get here so I can get decorating with my planner instead of planning what to put into it.

This is my latest arrival from my late night shopping. Nothing expensive or outlandish, just a couple of cute post-it notes to pretty up the place.

These little Russian Dolls were too cute and although they're only tiny as they're meant as flags I could not resist them. Added bonus, they were only about 80p which made them even more alluring.

I also picked some sweet little patterned tabs that would work both as flags or even almost as washi to help pretty up my pages. There's a good variety of colours and patterns to work with most themes.

And lastly, look at that little face. There was no way I was going without one of these in my life. Adorably, the brown card he's sitting on folds into a box so he becomes a cat in a box. As a self confessed crazy cat lady there was no way I could go without one of these. They send the design at random so I may well even treat myself to his friends as well.

Fineliner Love

I had a lovely little delivery from Amazon today of fine liners. I opted for staedler ones as I personally find the colours are brighter and last longer than the stabilo ones. These also come in a fantastic sturdy case, which if you're as clumsy as me is also always a win.

I've got fineliners and felt pens and I can't wait to start using them both. Again I'm not 100% certain I can wait until I receive my Filofax, even if there now are only 23 days remaining. You'll notice I decided to opt for the box of 20 over the box of 12 as I love the extra range of colours that is made available through this option as it means I've consequently got pens that co-ordinate with virtually every theme I could possibly choose in my organiser.

So of course I just need the organiser now. I can scarcely contain my excitement thinking about it, good job I haven't got long to wait now!

Ebay Blues

So I've had a few woes with eBay this weekend. I discovered in addition to the possibility that one Filofax might not be enough, I would not get the Filofaxes that made me believe this. Now, there is of course the very real probability that I was rationalizing the ownership of the beauties I had my eye on in the event of winning them, but alas it was not meant to be!

The first cutie that made me swoon was a delectable Disneyland Paris organiser. Pocket sized and dark coloured it would have been perfect on my desk and for those trips we take to Disney to ensure my loved ones receive their postcards without delay. According to the description there were Disney themed pages, although there were no pictures to go with this so I guess I'll never know. I was pipped to the post in literally the last second by 20p!

The second delight to further wet my appetite for the anticipated Filofax was a Radley one, which not only had a matching purse but actually matched one of my handbags. It was personal sized and came with a pen which is always a win. The little beauty also had a dust bag and was the perfect size for keeping with me when out and about, as well as organising all those dinner dates with Mr S and lunch dates with the girls. I would always be happy to let Radley help me keep my social life in check. Alas this too was not meant to be as the 8 other bidders who were also after this gorgeous item outbid me yet again.

So it seems I am still destined to wait until Christmas, even if that is AGES away. Well ok there are 24 days left, but that feels like ages.

Stickers

So, it's pretty clear one of my new weaknesses is stickers. Needless to say I couldn't resist picking up some new ones to add to the collection today.

I've been eager to add some Hello Kitty goodness to the planner stash for some time, so couldn't resist these.

There were two themes available so of course I did what every good hoarder does and chose both! I love the red ones, I think they're really funky but I also think the pink ones are really sweet.

I also indulged in some cat stickers as I was really needing a cat fix today. In other news I'm also temporarily prohibited from browsing the pet finder website as I start to suggest we should adopt every cat on there. The occasional puppy too.

Inspired by Hetty, I picked out some hedgehog stickers too. These will be great for a lovely fall spread once I get my Filofax. I'm thinking I could match them with some orange and red tape.

A Few Goodies

So a quick trip out resulted in a few new goodies today. As you know I love a good flag and couldn't resist these. They've got handy tags 'to do', 'study' and 'get this'. The pegs were fabulously quirky and as they were all in a three for two offer I got some people shaped paperclips whilst I was at it. They seemed just the right amount of quirky to go with everything else I'd picked up,

In addition to clips and pegs I couldn't resist this little sweetie. She's a iwako rubber and we've named her Hetty. For such a small eraser she's pretty pricey but to be perfectly honest, she's so cute I probably won't use her anyway.

So it would seem my little stash of Filofax supplies is really building up, it's probably a good thing there are only 3 and a half weeks left until Christmas now! I'm starting to get really excited!

Stationery Friday

Mr S has come up with a new tradition: Stationery Friday. This involved another trip to my favourite store, Paperchase. I was really spoilt for choice in there today and didn't know what to pick. In the end we settled on some washi tapes and stickers as you can never have enough of those.

I couldn't get enough of close ups today either, there were so many cute purchases! I love this tape, it oddly reminds me of dreams. Maybe that's what the range is called? Either way I love the pastel colours and the sweet little cartoon characters.

We picked out these as well, mainly I have to admit for the orange cat tape, although I'm in love with washi in general at the moment.

I love these stickers, they have a wonderful vintage feel to them. I feel like they should be used with lace doilies and things with tea cups printed on them. I particularly liked the cherries but then I can seldom resist a good cherry print anyway!

These too have that vintage vibe, I may have to plan an afternoon tea and have that theme for a week in my planner. It's even giving me the urge to make cupcakes!

Mr S picked out the rockets which are pretty funky anyway but I love the fact that the rockets are being driven by cats. I'm definitely a cat lady, and since ours sadly passed away the house feels lacking, but it's too soon to get another cat yet (not that I'm not getting the urge anyway)

I love these sweet little stickers too. I'd love an orange cat so these put a smile on my face and I think they'll work well with the cat themed washi tape. I've started to try and think about themes to put together rather than just selecting random things because I like them.
